Privacy Policy
How we collect, use and protect personal information from enquiries, bookings and franchise interest.
Last updated: 11 June 2026
This privacy policy explains how Platinum Car Cleaning collects and uses personal information when you use this website, contact us, book a service, ask for a quote, or enquire about franchise opportunities.
Who we are
Platinum Car Cleaning is a mobile car cleaning, valeting and detailing business operating across Bournemouth, Poole, Christchurch, Ferndown, Dorset and nearby areas. For privacy questions, contact us at bournemouth@platinumcarcleaning.co.uk or call 07976 920503.
Information we collect
We may collect the following information when you contact us or submit a form:
- your name, email address and phone number;
- your postcode, location or area we need to visit;
- vehicle details such as make, model, type, colour and condition;
- details of the service you are interested in;
- messages, photos or other information you choose to send us;
- franchise enquiry details, including territory, work history, vehicle/van plans, funding position and any questions you ask;
- source or campaign information, for example whether an enquiry came from a QR code, leaflet or direct website visit.
How we use your information
We use your information to:
- reply to enquiries and provide quotes;
- arrange bookings, visits and follow-up messages;
- carry out customer service, admin, record keeping and invoicing;
- deal with franchise enquiries and arrange discovery calls or meetings;
- understand which adverts, QR codes or pages are generating enquiries;
- protect the business, our customers and our website from misuse or spam;
- meet legal, tax, accounting and insurance obligations.
Our lawful reasons for using your data
Depending on the situation, we rely on one or more of these lawful reasons:
- Contract or steps before a contract — for example, preparing a quote or arranging a booking.
- Legitimate interests — for example, running our business, responding to enquiries, preventing spam and improving our services.
- Legal obligation — for example, keeping accounting and tax records.
- Consent — for example, if we ask permission to use a customer photo, testimonial or optional marketing material.
Forms, hosting and service providers
Our website is hosted on Netlify and our enquiry forms are handled through Netlify Forms. We may also use trusted services for email, admin, invoicing, accounting, storage, website management, marketing support and customer communication. These providers only receive information needed to provide their service to us.
Photos, reviews and testimonials
We may use photos of vehicles or finished work for our gallery, advertising or social media. We will avoid showing private information such as number plates, addresses or personal belongings where practical, and we will remove or blur content if there is a reasonable privacy concern. Customer names, reviews or testimonials are only used where they have been provided publicly or with permission.
How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as we reasonably need it. Enquiries that do not become bookings are usually kept for a shorter period. Customer, booking, invoice and business records may be kept for longer where needed for accounting, tax, insurance, dispute handling or business records. Franchise enquiries may be kept while discussions are active and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Sharing your information
We do not sell personal information. We may share information where needed with trusted suppliers, website/email/form providers, accountants, insurers, legal advisers, payment or invoicing services, or where required by law. If a franchise enquiry progresses, information may be shared with relevant professional advisers or support providers as part of the franchise process.
Your data protection rights
You may have rights to ask for a copy of your personal information, correct it, delete it, restrict how it is used, object to certain uses, or withdraw consent where consent applies. To make a request, contact bournemouth@platinumcarcleaning.co.uk.
Privacy complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. We aim to acknowledge data protection complaints within 30 days and respond without undue delay after looking into the issue.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator for data protection.
